How DP Ruto Made His Billions; Luyhas‘ Paradise

$

By Ikol Adung’onsi

There is an estimated 19 billion chicken in the world. China has the highest in terms of absolute numbers while Bahrain has the highest chicken to human ratio at 40:1 (Luhya paradise)

Kenya has an estimated poultry population of 31 million chicken. Of these, 75% consist of indigenous chicken, 22% of broilers and layers and 1% of breeding stock. If someone were to sell all the chicken in Kenya in one year, at about 5 dollars each (conservative estimate) he would make 155 million dollars. That’s about 15.5 billion shillings!

So the entire chicken industry is only worth about 16 billion per year. WSR’s net worth is estimated at Ksh 30 billion in 2018, twice as huge as the chicken industry! You see boys and girls? It’s possible to become a billionaire off selling chicken!

DO KENYANS USE THEIR HEARTS MORE THAN THEY USE THEIR BRAINS IN ARRIVING AT DECISIONS?

By Gilbert O Kenya

Most Kenyans are an overly sentimental lot. No wonder entire communities suspend any form of reasoning whenever politicians tell them that “our people are targeted.”

The latest confirmation that most Kenyans use their hearts more than they use their heads to think is the case of one Ruth Kamande, a murderous beauty queen who stabbed her boyfriend 25 times, in a feat of rage, leaving him dead three years ago. That was murder most foul.

While in remand awaiting judgment, she threw a spanner in the works. She strutted her stuff on the catwalk, flaunting her stunning beauty before Kenyan men – most of whom belong to the “MAFISI SACCO.” Know what i mean?

This did not only win her the Miss Prisons Kenya beauty pageant crown, but it also won her many Kenyan hearts, especially those of men. You can already guess why.

She did not just stop there, she went ahead to sit for her KCSE, while in prison, and scored an A-, besides training as a paralegal. This earned her the tag of a beauty with brains – a rare combination in a city known to host several slay queens with pretty but empty heads.

This won her even more hearts and made her a darling of the equally sentimental Kenyan media. Then, without warning, came the bombshell: a death sentence!

On Thursday last week, while giving her ruling, Justice Jessie Lesiit said Ruth Wanjiku Kamande deliberately stabbed her erstwhile boyfriend Farid Mohammed 25 times.

The Justice warned that “young people should know it is not cool to kill your boyfriend or girlfriend, instead it is cool to walk away from such a relationship when it breaks down”.

Kenyan men (especially members of team Mafisi) are now drooling all over social media, wondering how an “evil” judge could give a stunning beauty like Ruth Kamande a death sentence! How could she have the audacity to send a beauty queen to the hangman at the stroke of a pen? What a waste of such a beauty!

Listen guys, the law is totally blind to physical attributes of any culprit and too much sentimentalism. Whether ugly or angelically beautiful, they all get treated equally before the law. The courts will only analyze facts surrounding the crime in question, in order to establish the motive of the suspect beyond reasonable doubt.

From whichever angle you look at it, stabbing a fellow human being 25 times can never be an accident or an act of blind rage. It’s murder most foul. She ensured that the young man was as dead as a dodo.

Each stab was deadly enough to kill the poor boy child. So, this lady wanted to kill the young man 25 times!

Life is sacred and no human being has the right to end the life of another in such a gory manner as Ruth did. Right there you have a capital offense!

Justice Lesiit’s severely punitive sentence is not necessarily aimed at inflicting the worst pain that there is on the murderous beauty queen.

Reading through her ruling, it’s evident that she wants Ruth’s case to serve as an example to others. She wants her sentence to be a deterrent to any such thoughtless murderers in future.

As much as human beings are animals, whose animalistic instincts of self preservation sometimes get the better of them, there is a reason why the Creator gave humans a Superior brain compared to all other members of the animal kingdom.

The human brain is very capable of controlling any base instincts and making reasonable judgments on the spur of the moment. A human being is able to choose between right and wrong in an instant. There is nothing like being murderous in a feat of rage.

Stabbing a person once might be an accident but 25 times, NO! That’s premeditated murder. Besides, kitchen knives are not kept in the bedroom. She knew exactly what she wanted to do when she went for that knife.

Am I the only one who has noticed that most of the people who have come out strongly in defense of the ex prisons beauty Queen are men? I think the MAFISI SACCO should be disbanded for misleading men.

It’s high time Kenyans stopped using their hearts to think and began using their heads. Our politicians know this weakness very well and always use it to their advantage.

It is for this very reason that, after every five years, we end up electing murderers, thieves and drug barons into high offices in the name of “MTU WETU.”

Kenya will only be ready for takeoff the moment we drop the sentimentalism of “MTU WETU” and choose our leaders on merit. It’s always advisable to engage the brain before we engage the heart.

Meanwhile, let Ruth Kamande serve as a lesson to any young person planning to kill their lover and blame it on blind rage.

Have a fantastic week ahead folks.

A man bled to death in Embu on Monday after severing his manhood with a pair of scissors for lacking a wife.

Dominic Mugo, 56, passed on as he was being rushed to hospital by neighbours who responded to his distress call.

He locked himself in the house at around 7am and cut off his genitals for allegedly failing to get a woman to marry.

Shocked residents of Ngerwe village, Kibugu location in Embu North sub-county said women shunned Mugo owing to his history of violence.

The Star reported that Embu North deputy county commissioner Thomas Tumo said they have a report that the man was a bhang addict.

“He used to be violent and no woman wanted to have a relationship with him,” the administrator said.

“The villagers reported that he used to behave in violent weird manner. Some people treated him a madman.”

Tumo said the man’s neighbours have known him for raising false alarm hence the delay in response to his cries for help.

“The locals are used to hearing him cause a commotion. They ignored him and was only helped after he persisted,” he said.

The man’s body was taken to the Embu Level Five Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.

Married men, let’s converge here. We are doing badly of late:
By Kamasasa Eprahim
There has been a photo of a certain married man sandwiched between 2 young light skin slay queens, nude and in bath room. We need to be reasonable. The fact that you are married, whatever you do RESPECT must be guarded.

Even if you have no respect for your wife, then respect your children. Even if you no longer have interest in your current wife, at least respect your parents and parents in law.

Even if your wife is boring, at least respect the holy institution of MARRIAGE. Avoid taking photos with unreasonable slay queens who have no shame in the public opinion. I am not telling you to stop planting seeds in different gardens nor to stop swimming in different pools of different sizes, different temperatures and different levels of water. But if you must do it, then court a mature reasonable woman who has a name to protect too in the public arena. Building a career and a reputation is difficult. It takes a considerable amount of time and resources. Guard it!

You have a name to protect outside there while at the same time your TUK TUK wants to run in different roads, mind the subtract selection. Mind the roads. Mind the garden. Mind the pools. Stay safe. Lets keep our marriages. Lets keep and guard the reputation of our families.

Thank you!

Two female Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) exchanged blows at the assembly cafeteria allegedly over a man on Monday.

Beef between the two, who were nominated by the ruling Jubilee Party to represent the youth and minority, started outside the precincts of the assembly.

Tempers flared when one of the women said to be the daughter of a former MP stormed the cafeteria baying for the blood of her nominated colleague – who was shouting “Huyu ni wazimu (This one is crazy)! She needs help! Please help her seek help!” as she fled for safety.

Colleagues who were having lunch dashed out of the cafeteria shouting for help from the assembly security officials.

The two were separated but not before exchanging slaps and kicks.

The assembly leadership has since launched investigations into the matter.

ODM, JUBILEE MPs Brandish Guns in Nasty Bar Fight in Kilimani

Six MPs and a former legislator brought a popular high end bar to a standstill after they were involved in a serious gun drama with a Sudanese man in an upmarket bar in Kilimani area.

The six were having a drink at the popular Cedars bar on Lenana Road when one of them picked a quarrel with a Sudanese man who became violent. The bar is popular with politicians, judges, lawyers and business people.

MPs Sam Atandi (Alego Usonga), Teddy Mwambire (Ganze), Kapsaret’s Oscar Sudi, Lugari’s Ayub Savula, Kimilili’s Didmus Barasa and former Tiaty MP Asman Kamama were reportedly having a drink when a Sudanese sitting next to them began puffing a cigarette and smoke wafted towards them.

Smoking inside the bar is prohibited.

“When Atandi protested, the Sudanese grabbed a glass of beer and splashed it on the MPs,” Savula said.

The Sudanese man who boasted of being a poweful PS in South Sudanese President Salva Kiir’s government — provoked a reaction from Sudi and Barasa who protested and threatened to attack the lanky man.

Before the two could express their outrage, the Sudanese grabbed a bottle and threw it in Sudi’s direction. The MP ducked and the bottle hit the wall.

It was at that point that the bodyguards of the MPs and other patrons stepped in and threw out the man who called other Sudanese who came spoiling for a fight.

“A group of other people associated with the man walked in and caused a commotion as they tried at rescue him,” Barasa explained.

“We did not know they were mobilising outside and so within minutes the police arrived to find out what was happening. We explained to them who we are and what happened and they decided to leave,” Savula said.

“It was a bad scene. They were regrouping and tension was building up,” he added.

The Star reports that the Sudanese is said to be a regular patron of the bar. Some employees described him as an arrogant wealthy man.

“It is not the first time he has caused problems here. He has no regard for anyone and boasts that he is powerful and no one can do anything to him,” said a guard who asked not to be named.

Unconfirmed reports said that three of the MPs brandished their guns when it looked like things were getting out of hand.

“The Sudanese was in the wrong, he puffed cigarette smoke in Atandi’s eyes. I was not involved, I only moved in to save him (Atandi),” Savula said.

Meru Man Gives Bedroom Tips on How He Satisfies His 19 Wives and How Kamuti Keeps them Faithful

A Meru macho man identified as Robert Kathata alias Ramoh is a proud husband of 19 wives.

The father of 34 children who hails from Kiengu in Igembe Central relished on how he adores his wives and satisfies their sexual desires.

But there is a catch. He revealed that he uses special dawa to ensure they don’t cheat on him.

“None of my wife can cheat on me because they will definitely get stuck during sex. Further, I use some form of miti shamba to ensure my sex power is tops,” he said.

The traditional healer, who recently married his 19th wife, revealed that he targets to marry 40 women before he dies.

He disclosed that all his wives are from different parts of the country – Meru, Kitui, Embu, Muranga, Isiolo and Nyeri – to ensure unity.

“To prove that you are wealthy, you must have many wives and children to match the status. I have close to 400 acres of land. In Igembe, I have 50 acres of miraa farms, a dairy farm and banana plantations. I only inherited 10 acres from my father, all the property I own is a result of my hard work,” he said.

Asked how he manages all his women, he said: “You should be honest and hold meetings to find out if they have any issues that are bothering them. In addition, I take care of their needs. Each of my wife has a separate compound and I have opened businesses for them. When I marry a woman, I give her Sh200, 000 as capital to start a business. Most of my wives run salons, bars, eateries, hardware shops and other businesses,” he said proudly.

He says that before marrying a new wife, he first consults his first wife and asks for her permission.

“My first wife Grace Kagwiria, whom I married in the 90s, is the one who approves and welcomes my new wives to our extended family,” he said.

Ramoh says he quit his teaching job to join the “world of herbal medicine” following the death of his father. His father Ayub Kathata, was a renowned traditional healer in the Mt Kenya East region.

The senior Kathata had 49 wives and 129 children. The father picked Ramoh to be his heir, despite being younger.

“I had been a teacher for seven years when my father called me home. I was working in Mombasa. I took charge because he saw the potential in me. I used to accompany him to collect herbs from the forest, where I got a lot of experience,” Ramoh said.

And his wives have nothing but praise for him.

“He has set a duty rosta on how to spend time with us. He comes after a fortnight. Personally, I have never been denied my conjugal rights by him. I have also never slept with any other man since he married me,” said Fridah Kailui, 35, who has three children with Ramoh.

Sabella Kananu and Fridah Karimi echoed her sentiments. Angela Mukami who is the latest wife said: “He is such a darling. He provides everything for us and I don’t regret marrying him.”

Ramoh’s extended family holds a family get-together quarterly. He says that because of the increasing number of his children, he wants to build two schools in Isiolo County to accommodate his brood.

He says he knows each of his children by their full names.

Denis Itumbi Thirsting over KTN’s Sophia Wanuna After Jackie Maribe Dumped Him for Dubai Bouncer

KTN TV’s Sophia Wanuna is one of the most underrated broadcast Journalists of our recent times.

Forget her ‘yellow yellow’ complexion synonymous with blonds, Wanuna is brilliant, eloquent and brave. A trip down memory lane to when Miguna was forcefully deported from JKIA will assert this sentiment.

She is also beautiful and petite and disgraced State House official Denis Itumbi could not help but thirst on her as she stepped out in a stylish outfit.

Dennis Itumbi described her look as ‘sexy’ eliciting an avalanche of reactions from fans who urged him to leave TV Girls alone.

The trolling on Itumbi was elicited by Jowie proposing to Jacque Maribe a woman that had been linked to Dennis Itumbi.

Although Maribe and Itumbi have maintained that they are just friends, it has not stopped Kenyans from trolling him over his perennial presence in the Maribe friend zone.

Well, twice unlucky for him as Sophia Wanuna – is well off the market.

The popular presenter is engaged to monied businessman Sasha Mutai.

In 2016, the two were said to be heading to the aisle after Wanuna’s visit to Mutai’s family in Nandi County.

After their highly publicised relationship and no wedding to show for it, the two were rumored to have broken up but neither of them confirmed nor denied the breakup, though Sophia removed their pictures from social media.

And after keeping a low profile on her relationship status, Wanuna appears to be in love again. Just last month, she gave the biggest hint yet that she was taken as she posted a “His & Hers” picture flaunting their expensive Hublot watches.

For Girls only!

Get good education
Get something you can do on your own and earn a living
Wait for us to notice you and your worth as a family person

Avoid styles you can do without after age 50

Cultivate morality in your lifestyle

Do not let men sample you in their search for lust and appetite

A good husband comes from God, not money.

Success comes from effort, not sexual experiences

That kid you are calling Angel is human, borne out of wedlock. You are productive if you can sustain the kids needs, not in court battles

This world is a sea full of sharks and whales

God saves those that trust in him, not those singing seductive lyrics.

Old Prostitutes Decrying Stiff Competition from School Girls Following School Holidays

$
0
0

With schools closed, old hookers are scared stiff of tight competition from young primary and secondary school girls.

In Umoja and Kayole, for instance, girls aged between 14 and 22 years prowl the pubs at night.

In Korogocho, they approach men in broad daylight and offer ‘services’ for a fee without batting an eyelid.

*Purity, a Class Seven pupil, has been a prostitute for the past one year at Nyama Villa in Kayole. The daughter of a sex worker, says she slid into the trade because her mum would bring clients to the house in broad day light.

“I have been raised by a single mum who has been in this industry for a decade. I used to hear her communicate with men on phone, saying ‘let us meet at Nyama Villa’,” she says.

Out of curiosity, Purity visited the place and found a parade of women waiting for men. Knowing that her mother made cash from men, the temptation to join the party was intense and that’s how she got in. Meanwhile, her friend, *Gladys, a Form One student, claims she has been in the industry for the past two and half years.

“This is where I get my pocket money and cash for school shopping,” Gladys reveals, saying it is a quick paying job. She ventured into the trade through a friend who introduced her to internet dating sites. “After dealing with internet men for six months, I decided to venture into it fully. I now find men in Umoja estate, where a number of girls my age also operate.”

*Peris, a Class Eight pupil in Mathare, was lured into the business when both her parents died. Her maternal aunt volunteered to be her guardian, only to turn around after two years and say she (Peris) needed to start hustling for her basic needs. With no idea what hustling entailed, she turned to her aunt who was a night-shift waitress at a hotel in town. Her aunt offered to introduce her to her job.

“I expected my aunt to take me to her workplace during the day, but surprisingly, we left at night. She took me to a bar (name withheld) in Huruma estate which, I shortly learnt had several rooms upstairs for commercial sex,” she recalls, sobbing. “She applied makeup on my face, forced me to wear a mini skirt, then ordered me to join other women who were parading themselves outside the bar. It was horrible. I just broke into tears.”

Peris says that later in the night, a man in his mid 40s picked her, took her into one of the rooms and forced himself on her despite her pleas. He paid her Sh300 for the ordeal. And her journey into the grim, dark world of prostitution began. Her story is no different from Sharon’s. The Form Two student in Kibra became a prostitute after her parents threw her out when she became pregnant, and left her to fend for herself and pay her school fee.

“I had taken my child to the clinic in the morning, but on returning home in the afternoon, neighbours told me that my parents had moved and left my belongings in the vacated house,” she recalls.

She had to seek refuge from a neighbour as she figured out how to survive. Then it dawned on her that prostitution was the only way out. She commenced business, charging men at Laini Saba and Makina between Sh100 and 200 for her services. This, she says, is how she has been paying her fee and rent since.

Evans Emasit, the director of Soweto Baptist Primary and Secondary School in Kibra, acknowledges that commercial sex work is real among school-going girls in informal settlements because of poverty and failure by some parents to provide for their children.

“Most of the cases I have dealt with involve children between Class Seven and Form Three. They are forced into commercial sex to meet their basic needs. We also have those who are pushed into prostitution by their parents to boost family income,” says Emasit, adding that he is currently supporting more than 20 students, whom he rescued from the trade. Among them are children for whom he has rented rooms and taken back to school.

Apart from poor parenting, social media and the influence of peer pressure, National Parents Association chairman Nicholas Maiyo, blames the vice on celebrities who live large but do nothing, apart from engaging in commercial sex with rich men.

“These women seem to have enviable lifestyles. They dress expensively, drive big cars, dine in nice hotels and live in nice houses. They are influencing young girls to engage in commercial sex because it appears like a means of making a quick shilling without sweating for it,” says Maiyo.

KTN News Anchor Who Married Francis Atwoli Is 35 YEARS YOUNGER But Happy

KTN News anchor Mary Kilobi has confirmed that she is the newly wed wife to veteran Cotu Francis Atwoli.

Kilobi spoke out after a Bungoma politician Jack Wanami Wamboka, whom she had previously dated, accused Atwoli of snatching “his wife”.

The journalist, however, says that she had long cut ties with Wamboka – terming their courtship as “disastrous”.

Atwoli denied being a wife snatcher, adding that before marrying “his latest wife”, he had confirmed with the parents that she is single.

Kilobi confirmed that her marriage with Atwoli was formal, and that only death could set them apart.

“He proposed to me but I said no. But he insisted. He persistently stated that he was serious and would wait for even 1,000 years for me to say ‘yes’ and marry him”.

“I love Atwoli, he is a caring man who is always there for me. Given another chance, I will still fall in love with him,” the KTN News anchor told the Nairobian.

She was quick to add that the 35-year age gap was not an issue in their marriage.

“I have now realised that age should never be a key consideration in a relationship. Atwoli is that guy who is never bothered about mundane issues that sometimes break up marriages,” the 34-year old journalist said.

Atwoli, who is 69, is openly polygamous and often brags about the “many wives he has” although he does not reveal the number.

Good Man Odumbe Kute Names Ten Most Amazing Persons He Met On Facebook, Hilarious !

$

Over the years, I’ve met first class friends up in here. Never met most, if not all face to face, but here’s my bucket list of the top ten friends I made on FB that I want to meet before I die (not in any particular order).

1. Kerubo Momanyi
Well, technically, we’ve met and crossed paths and she used to ignore me. Only until a mutual friend Tom Osanjo reminded her of the crazy meetings at Blue Flame in South B. A girl after my own heart, a diehard Arsenal fan. To be honest, I just want to listen to her drama like when she got locked in a house with a boy child because of rent arrears or when a prospective boyfriend unleashed a laptop with a master plan of their relationship; how often they would talk, how many times they would have sex, what milestones they needed to monitor, you know, the full relationship project management package. If you know KB, you’ll know what her response was.

2. Kipruto Kertiony
Wakili here is a strange one. An errant as they call themselves. Smart, perceptive, humourous and a no nonsense customer when it comes to his values and the issues that affect Kenya. If I was ever to run for President and make it, Kipruto would most definitely be in my inner circle. I particularly want to spend some time indulging in the Ruaraka waters so we can unpack this madness we call Kenya, but most of all, get to a place where we can work together to fix it.

3. Madina Shankaroon Kusow Chege
This one is a crazy one. I have a hell of a lot of time for her. Chic doesn’t take prisoners and I’m sure she’ll forgive me if I say she has brass balls. There’s not enough of her around. Politically savvy, professional as hell in her medical field and most definitely one of the people you can count on if you go to the trenches to fight for social justice and righteousness. I know a few people who have a crush on her, and why not. She’s as cool as a cat’s pyjamas.

4. Nyanyuki Dan Tito
This tea total SDA is a strange one. A student of literature and a stellar teacher and guardian to all our young ones. For some reason, he wants my dad to adopt him for a week. I keep telling him my dad is crazier than I am. A sharp, perceptive and humourous fella who is a very cheap round. I can buy him tea and boflo with blue band all night as we catch up on contemporary issues of our day.

5. Jay Okeyo-Neal Archibella
What do I say about this lady. Funny as hell, bold an forthright and never hesitates to say what she wants. Take the time she declared right here on FB that if she knew me earlier, she most definitely would have lost her virginity to me. If that wasn’t enough, she hijacked my post about some loser dissing his wife on FB and the only thing she read from that post was that I was single. I’m still trying to figure out her plot with her friend Sandlady as they try to coax me for a holiday in Mombasa. I’m thinking a holiday with them two girls is a project.

6. Mwalimu Mutemi Wa Kiama

The father of the #UshenziKE tag. A kindred spirit when it comes to political and development matters. Probably now branded as a traitor by Uthamakistan, but his heart is where we need it to be for Kenya. We have quite a few mutual friends not least the Ndavi twins, my partners in crime in high school. I have a feeling Mutemi and I can talk until the cows come home on issues related to Kenyan politics, UshenziKE and development matters. But I also believe this here dude can be one hell of a drinking buddy.

7. Wanja Wa Njuguna
This CNN award winning journalist and university lecturer keeps reminding me that I’m as good as the best when it comes to quality in analysis, commentary, and even creative writing. She’s one of my editors by the way and a veteran of the kenyan media establishment. If you haven’t read it yet, you should get a hold of her first class journalistic perspectives of the Saba Saba events of 1990 in Kamkunji. Over the years in FB, we’ve become really good friends sharing perspectives and advice on work, family and the day to day issues of life. She never likes when I post my recipes and meals that I cook, especially when it reminds her of her work schedule and the fact she doesn’t have time to indulge in the small flavours of life.

8. Ted Malanda
What can you say about this crazy Shemeji. He and i seem to have been cut from the same cloth. I was so bemused the first time I talked to him on phone. All formal and in “editor” mode and I’m thinking, Jamaneni. His excuse was that it was because of his 8 years in the civil service. When I’m next in Kenya, I’m looking forward to the double Johnny Walkers we will have as we get to know each other. Occasionally, he commissions me to write articles for the Nairobian or the Standard, but I’m looking forward to working with him on more substantive projects that we have spoken about.

9. Esther Gakenia
This young lady is intriguing. We both have a passion for music and she totally believes that my life is so crazy, she must have missed out on her whole youth experience. Just the other day, she was actually shopping and sight seeing 12 minutes away from my neighbourhood in Central London. Timing wasn’t right, but I’m sure we’ll make it up. She has a job right now though, to put some hair on her chest (not literally of course) and do the unthinkable that I’ve challenged her to do. She actually now believes me and her friend Salome have been plotting against her, but why lie, I’m definitely buying Salome a drink when we meet, for the simple reason that she understands why this girl has to put that hair on her chest.

Now this one, I can’t even tell you how we connected. A great friend, a good listener, and one of the few people who went out of her way to find out about this fella called Odumbe. I’m still convinced she doesn’t believe I’m blind and waiting to see me in the flesh to confirm. Like me, she does actually have a twisted mind, but of course she’ll deny it and I won’t push it. I have a feeling I can sit down with this girl all night talking about anything under the sun.

And by the way, if I’ve left your name out, it’s not that I’m not thinking about you. Believe me, I know I have a date in Nanyuki with some serious pork chops and managu – but then again, the lady taking me on that date is not a stranger.

Personally, I blame Jay Okeyo-Neal Archibella for starting that post where watu waliji tokelezea.e

Emotional: How Soccer Star Dennis Oliech Cared For His Sick Mother, Cancer Treatment Abroad And Much More

Mama Oliech ( Mary Auma Oliech ) will be laid to rest on Saturday 18th August 2018 at their rural home in Seme, Kisumu County. Life isn’t permanent, and no human being is immortal. We are here today, tommorrow we are history.

I think we have more positive lessons to learn from the life of Mama Oliech, and how Oliech ( The Footballer) cared for his mama especially after getting money and fame immediately, he landed a contract with a Qatari based club and later France.

Oliech rose to fame when the family was still struggling, mother being an ordinary fish seller and the prime bread winner of the family. Though he had some elder siblings but the fact is that the mother was hugely looked upon before Oliech’s talent finally paid.

When He landed a contract in Qatar , the first two things he did with his first salary was moving his mom to a new house, and expanding her fish business later on becoming one of the best eateries in the city where even Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg took his first ever tilapia there.

Oliech later built his mom a home in Lavington where she lived up to the time of her death.

According to Mama Oliech’s last interview with The People Daily , Oliech helped whenever he could, when it came to family projects. However, all his siblings are stable and have families and jobs of their own.

When she started battling Lymphoma Cancer, Oliech played a big role in making sure she got well. He found a doctor in Paris France who treated her from 2013 to 2016.He spent huge amounts of money, the mother estimating it to Ksh 19 million .

He also hired for her a private physiotherapist. Also, Oliech supported his mother to open a second branch of Mama Oliech and a pub at Dagoretti Centre.

When Oliech was rumoured to be broke and selling his house and cars to survive, remember it was exactly this time when Cancer had pushed the mother to extreme, and with the Luoism in Oliech he never wanted to open a paybill number to start begging for money to take his mom to India for treatment. He used his savings and even pawned personal properties to procure appropriate treatment. Of all the things he bought her mom, he never touched any; only his!

When his former French club came in to recall him , the truth is that Oliech had ideally exhausted most of the possible avenues.

The way Oliech struggled to give his mom life without bothering other family members and friends, need to serve as an important lesson to us. It was sad seeing how people were so heartless in blaming Oliech for his financial deterioration instead trying to dig deep to the issues behind it.

Funnily some us can not even afford to pay for a malaria treatment solely for our momms without telling them to call other siblings to top up the money. Some would even open paybill numbers.

The way mothers struggle to keep us comfortable at our young age is the same way we should struggle to keep them comfortable at old age. A happy mother is a happy family.

Before you take your Guiness or any other drink , remember your mom ; Imagine those five Guinness you are drinking is enough to buy her food for a whole week. Don’t compete with other siblings, everyone was born at his/her time and the pain she underwent might have varied. Behave as if you are the only kid just like Oliech did.

GOD ALMIGHTY gave Oliech a second chance with a monthly pay of over 1.5 million ( after taxation) because of his mom. Footballers rarely get this chance after officially making a public retirement.

RIP mama Oliech.

Exposed: Why Francis Atwoli 70 Married KTN News Anchor Mary Kilobi 34, FINAL WORD

About Atwoli,69, Marrying Mary Kilobi,33.

When it comes to making a choice about their interests, women are ruthlessly efficient.

If her boss wants to sleep with her and that guarantees her promotion or more perks and she is the ambitious type, her marriage will not be an encumbrance, just a minor inconvenience.

If you are a 35 year old man and your wife is 32 and her boss or some politician develops interest in her, it is over for you son.

I know a dozen decent women who can turn down the advances of rich and powerful men but they are the exception, not the rule.

And if the boss wants to marry her, she will leave the poor husband without blinking. But always there is an excuse of, “he cheated”, “he is abusive”,and her army of “go-go-girl’ women will cheer into the jackpot.

So many men in Nairobi have lost their women to well-endowed(money-wise and otherwise).
I want to tell men here today that you can lose your woman at any time. There are men who are turned on by married women. And they have made it their duty to entice them as far as possible, tempting them with every charm, goodie at their disposal.

I will urge the men, treat your woman right, so that if she has to leave, you should not be the excuse for her leaving. Let her leave for her own reasons.

What I am telling men, is that you can’t own a woman or police her. Millennial women hate that very idea. You can only leave it to God to do the work for you.

In the likely event she cheats or leaves you, count your losses. It doesn’t matter how much you have spent on her. My readers from 10 years ago know my position on educating your wife.

I have met very many men who circumstances never allowed them to go to school. But they got a job, or started a business that became success. They married a woman from a poor family who had passed her KCSE but never got a chance to go to college. Or they marry a college educated woman, and they decide to sponsor her for Master’s. Once done, the women start disrespecting the men and some leave the men altogether.

Some men always go for revenge. Some resign to fate, shocked at the human capacity for disappointing. Those in the millitary often kill their spouse and her lover before turning the gun on themselves.

I know of folks, men who go to States, struggle so much to get papers, come back home pick their wife from the village, and go with her to States. They do everything for her but five years down the line she is no longer the woman they married. With the freedom and the way women are empowered, the women start going out, sometimes even with the male friends of the man, openly despising the men. Some men can move on. But some mostly kill or come back home, looking for books to study human nature.

I have never advocated for violence, no matter the reason. I always tell my friends that human beings have an infinite ability to shock and disappoint. I always take my time to tell them to learn to deal with the fact that their wives can cheat, have cheated or will cheat on them in due course. They should not beat themselves too hard about how life unravels. If it was bound to happen, it will happen.

My lady Nikki Giovanni says that mistakes are bound to happen. How we respond to them is what matters.

I know to be jilted is a bad thing. To be jilted when you have an ego, is doubly dangerous.

But don’t broadcast your problems. Just gather a few trusted friends, drink together and share.

Then go to Church or Kneel down and ask God for strength.

I would love to break protocol and quote myself from a column I did for the Nairobian at the beginning of the 2016.

“Sometimes, the worst things that happen to us often turn out to be the best thing that could happen to us.”

I live with that. So can you. Being left by a woman, or a man is not the worst thing that can happen to you. Death is.

So live while you can. There are always better people out there who deserve you. If there aren’t, there are still many good distractions to savour as you match towards your death.

Let me grab some liver and chapatti in a Somali restaurant.

See you guys at 5 o’clock for evening thoughts.
